2013 Artistic Colored Fabric!

January is that time of the year when companies toss out the old and bring in the new.  Fabric companies are especially known for this and update several times a year depending on the company.  With this said, January is the time of year that we always see  new trends in fabric designs!

One of the very interesting things about the design choices for 2013 is that many of the patterns being introduced are very traditional in design.  What makes them unique t0 2013 are the color choices that the fabric designers have selected to use with these patterns! By infusing each pattern with wild and vibrant tones the designers have the fabrics demanding your immediate attention.  We are getting an influx of lots of new books from all our suppliers. I wanted to introduce you to my favorite fabric line so far for the new year so here are a few of their new looks…

Robert Allen 2013 “Artistic Color” Collection

This collection introduces four new books to the “Color Library” series:  Viridian, Cobalt,  Turquoise, and Fuchsia.  Although there have been similar colors trending for the past couple of years, this color selection seems to have a bit more intensity in hue.  Over the years many of us  fell in love with the Caspian blue turquoise color that Robert Allen put out a number of years ago.  As we started to see this color become obsolete we began to wonder why.  Although this color is rich in tone, it can also be very dark, which often makes the room uninviting.  So Robert Allen came to the rescue this year. In 2013 many individuals who are updating their dwelling are looking for more open and minimalistic qualities in their new designs and are seeking to design with more vibrant colors.  These colors draw  attention to the eye by highlighting the best qualities  in the room design. Check out some of my favorite patterns from Robert Allen’s new collection!
